Partnership Development

The original expression of MBLB comes from the unique partnership development and consultation initiatives of Ethnic US. Ethnic's staff has successfully introduced these concepts in very difficult circumstances. For example, our staff has introduced MBLB concepts throughout Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). Invitations to share these sound business practices have come and continue to come from government and civic leaders. Mats Tunehag, Central Asia specialist, has consulted with countries with negative attitudes toward business and successfully aided communities to enter the global market.

Ethnic US networks with entrepreneurs, business, community, government, and spiritual leaders to bring the Multiple Bottom Line Business philosophies and connections to global economy to communities around the world. Our first role is to introduce the concepts and allow the individuals to determine how these principles can be carried out in their cultural context. The next series of steps require Ethnic to respond to the challenges and opportunities the group identifies. The last step is to develop a partnership between investors, trainers and business leaders to capture the best business opportunities within the community.

This is a process that Ethnic US has used with great results. Due to our staff's efforts, businesses have been launched and grown throughout Central Asia and Africa. The process can be applied to all cultures and businesses, from local agribusiness and fishing to high tech manufacturing. The best results are attained within communities that Ethnic repeats the process on a regular basis, thereby developing relationships for future business opportunities.

The illustration above shows the different ways that Ethnic US interacts with new and existing groups in developing countries. We begin with intentional intervention through a consultation process to create partnerships within a targeted region. After that group has addressed MBLB in their context (which will be a multi-month and year process), Ethnic US will begin the process of matchmaking capital with promising entrepreneurs. The contextualization and assimilation of MBLB practices into a given region is led and undertaken by national leaders. Ethnic US helps to raise the issues to national leaders and provides new insights for cultures entering the global economy while maintaining cultural integrity and consider long term implications of actions undertaken in the present. Ethnic US's networking experience allows for uniquely creative collaborative and consultation processes.
